SUDBURY—Voters can watch candidate forums for the Fifth Congressional District and the state legislature on Sudbury local access cable channels 8 and 31 before the Nov. 2 election.

The Candidates’ Nights were sponsored by the Sudbury and Concord-Carlisle Leagues of Women Voters.

The Fifth Congressional District forum, held in Concord Oct. 17, includes all four candidates for Congress—Dale E. Brown and Robert M. Clark, independents; Jon Golnik, Republican; and Niki Tsongas, Democrat.

The Sudbury League’s state legislative Candidates’ Night features the candidates for state Senate in the Middlesex & Worcester district, which includes Sudbury precincts 2, 3 and 5. They are Jamie Eldridge, Democrat, and George Thompson, Republican.

Thomas Conroy, Democrat, is running unopposed for the Sudbury seat in the House of Representatives, and he also took questions during that Oct. 18 Candidates’ Night.

Sudbury voters in precincts 1 and 4 are in the Third Middlesex State Senate district. The candidates in that race are Susan Fargo, Democrat, and Sandi Martinez, Republican. Fargo declined the Sudbury League’s invitation to its Candidates’ Night and so those two candidates are not included.

The Sudbury League and Sudbury Cable television are working to arrange to broadcast the Concord-Carlisle Oct. 20 Candidates’ Night which featured Fargo and Martinez.

The broadcast times for these candidate forums can be found on the cable channel website, www.sudburytv.org and on the town website, sudbury.ma.us. The election is Tuesday, Nov. 2, and polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
