The Winter Gift Market will be a featured highlight of the 2023 Sudbury Holiday Village! Local artists are invited to apply for a table at the Market. Applications are due 9/18/23.

Up to 15 artists will be chosen to participate in the Winter Gift Market. Selection of artists is at the discretion of the Town Manager. Priority will be given based on: date of application receipt, medium and art category (avoiding multiples), availability of winter/holiday themed items, gift range price points as well as quality, creativity, and originality of work.

FAQ

Am I able to apply to the Gift Market if I am not a Sudbury resident?

Yes! Any local artist is invited to apply.

Are you limiting the number of artisans to 15 due to space constraints?

Yes. The Gift Market will take place in Sudbury’s historic lower Town Hall meeting room. The space can only accommodate 15 tables comfortably, allowing sufficient space for event attendees.

Is the display space only 4.5’?

Each table offers some additional space beside and behind it. The tables are between 4.5-6 feet wide and will be the main space to set up a display. Unfortunately, larger pieces will be difficult to accommodate this year.

When will I know if I’ve been selected to participate?

All applicants will be notified via email by Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

The Select Board consists of five members – each elected for a three-year term. They serve without compensation. The Select Board acts as the primary policy-making body of the Town. They provide oversight for matters in litigation, act as the licensing authority for a wide variety of licenses, and enact rules and regulations for such matters as traffic control. Further, the Board serves, along with the Town Treasurer, as Trustees of Town Trusts. Staff in the Select Board’s Office accept articles for Town Meeting, prepare Town Meeting Warrants and produce the Town’s Annual Report. Staff also serve as liaison between the public and the Board, handle all phone calls, visitors and correspondence directed to the Office and maintain all records of Select Board meetings. They also maintain the database of all Boards and Committees appointments and resignations.
