Town of Sudbury Reaches Agreement on Broadacres Farm

The Town of Sudbury is proud to announce a tentative agreement has been entered into with representatives of Broadacres Farm.

The Town has agreed to purchase the three parcels on 82 Morse Road for a total of $5.5 million dollars, contingent on Town Meeting vote on October 15 and ballot vote on November 6. While the entire $5.5 million purchase amount will be authorized at Fall Town Meeting, the purchase will be conducted in a series of two to three phases. The first parcel to be acquired by the Town immediately is the parcel directly abutting Featherland fields (labeled as parcel 1) at a cost of $1,958,000. Acquisition of the remaining two parcels (labeled as parcels 2 and 3) shall be triggered by the property owner or her estate in the future at a total cost of $3,562,000. The Town’s right to the future parcels are protected and memorialized in the purchase and sale agreement. Finally, today’s purchase price is locked in for the future acquisition.
