PUBLIC INPUT SESSION – FIREARM ZONING BYLAW
FIREARM ZONING BYLAW PUBLIC INPUT SESSION
A Firearm Zoning Bylaw, to regulate and permit commercial firearms businesses, was presented by a citizen action group who has requested that the Zoning Board of Appeals sponsor the Bylaw for inclusion on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant. This session will provide the opportunity for residents to provide the Zoning Board of Appeals their thoughts on the DRAFT Firearm Zoning Bylaw found HERE.
Input from this session will assist the Zoning Board of Appeals in determining IF it wishes to present the proposed Bylaw to Town Meeting, and what alterations, additions, and/or deletions may be needed to create a Bylaw that the majority of Sudbury voters will support.
The proposed Bylaw under consideration during this Public Information Session may appear similar to the Article that fell just short of the required 2/3rds majority at the 2024 Annual Town Meeting. However, this proposal is a substantially different approach to regulating the location and operation of commercial firearms businesses in Sudbury.
