Solicitation: Chimney Repair Project – Hosmer House

The Town of Sudbury is soliciting written responses from qualified contractors relative to performing chimney repair consisting of the following components with all associated work including but not limited to: brick masonry repointing and rebuilding, chimney cap installation, replacement of counter flashings, and sealing all components. All work is to be performed at the historic Hosmer House located in the Town Center at 299 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury, Massachusetts.

The solicitation, Scope of Work, and contract documents are available June 27, 2012 on, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Building Department, 275 Old Lancaster Rd., Sudbury. A mandatory site visit is required.

Responses, including price and other required information, are due at that office by 3 p.m. on July 13, 2012. The work, estimated at $20,000, is expected to commence upon contract signing and be completed by August 31, 2012, unless otherwise agreed.

Minimum wage rates have been set for the project. OSHA training is required. For information contact the Building Department Office at 978-443-2209 ext. 1361.
