The FY27 Free Cash number demonstrates prudent budgeting and responsible management of the Town’s finances. It gives us great flexibility going forward and provides funding to continue investing in our capital assets and building our reserves for when we need them.

Notification of Free Cash Approval
On September 26, 2026 the Massachusetts Division of Local Services (DLS) certified the Town’s Fiscal Year 2027 Free Cash at $9,985,147. See Sudbury FY27 Free Cash Certification for the official notification.
