Hot temperatures and high humidity levels are expected to create dangerous heat conditions this weekend.

Residents are encouraged to take precautions and stay hydrated.

 

TIPS

  • Never leave a child or animal in a closed vehicle even if the windows are cracked open
  • Avoid strenuous exercise
  • Wear light fitting clothing
  • Drink plenty of water – even if you are not thirsty
  • Stay indoors as much as possible
  • Do not leave pets outdoors
  • Check on relatives and neighbors
  • Watch for signs of heat related illness and seek medical attention if needed 

 

The Goodnow Library will be open extended hours as a cooling station this weekend.

Library hours are as follows:

Saturday                              10:00am – 4:00pm  

Sunday                                 1:00pm – 5:00pm

 

Library services may be limited due to reduced staffing.
