The Sudbury Fire Department will host the District 14 Firefighter Entrance Examination to be held at the Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 0830 to 1230.  Applicants who pass this exam and want to become a full time or call firefighter in the Towns of Sudbury, Acton, Lincoln, Maynard, Stow, Wayland, or Weston can get on a list which may be used for selecting candidates for any job openings in these towns during the next two years.

The examination is on general knowledge subjects and no reading list is available for preparation.  Applications are available for pickup by visiting any of the listed fire departments or by going to www.jacquesper.com and clicking on “Regional Exam” for Firefighter, Fire District 14.

The Sudbury Fire Department is particularly interested in paramedic candidates, though this is not a condition of employment.

Deadline for application submission is November 8, 2009.  Applications must be submitted to Jacques Personnel per the online instructions at www.jacquesper.com.

Success on the exam does not guarantee a job, nor are the Towns limited to hiring strictly from the successful candidate list.

Sudbury is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all interested candidates to apply.
