Residents will soon be seeing indications of the project commencement in the Town Center. The DPW Dept. and the contractor, E.L & T., have begun planning the schedule of work for the next several months. A pre-construction meeting was held on September 26 in order to coordinate events in congested intersection.

Activities currently underway by DPW include completion of the detention basin at 15 Hudson Road, and installation of drainage improvements in Heritage Park. Residents will be noticing Dig Safe markings for underground utility lines on pavement areas in the Town Center in the next few weeks, as well as survey crews in the area as construction commencement nears.

Major Construction activities expected to begin in late October. Activities requiring lane closures will occur between 9:00 am – 3:30 pm to avoid commuter traffic to the extent possible. Electronic and other signage will be used to notify residents of the start dates. Detours may be necessary and will be coordinated by the Sudbury Police Dept. Construction will continue until the winter weather appears in December, and will suspend until early to mid-March of 2015. All construction is expected to be completed by early summer 2015.

The Sudbury Center Improvement Advisory Committee will be meeting this fall to study and make recommendations for landscaping and other amenities in the Town Center.
