FOX25 Morning News is heading to Sudbury on Friday, June 20^th, 2014 for a Zip Trip. Sudbury residents and viewers are invited to join co-hosts Gene Lavanchy, meteorologist Shiri Spear, news commentator Doug "VB" Goudie, and reporter Lilly Hopkins for the live broadcast from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Wayside Inn, 72 Wayside Road.

The FOX25 Morning News crew has made stops in more than 187 communities in 11 seasons of Zip Trips. The live broadcasts give citizens across New England “bragging rights” and a chance to show us what makes their hometown a great place to live. Neighbors, residents and kids of all ages who want to share their "Sudbury Pride" are encouraged to be part of our live audience. We'll have special guests and features that celebrate the unique qualities of Sudbury. Explore the town, meet the people, enjoy specialty food demonstrations, check out our Kids’ Fun Zone and take part in on-site activities.

Taste of the Town: Local restaurants, cafés or bakeries demonstrate savory dishes and sweet treats!
Home Town Team: A salute to a youth or senior team ranging from baseball and soccer to the local running club!
Zip Trip Trivia: VB tries to stump a special guest with town trivia.
Home Town Hero: Meet the local hero who helps out whenever needed! We'll feature a resident who's making a difference.

Zip Trip Fan of the Week: We'll pick someone from the crowd as our Fan of the Week.

Zip Trip Jr. Reporter: We'll select a young viewer from the crowd to help us with a few reporter duties.
Kids’ Fun Zone: Bouncy house and children’s activities.
Town Tour: Check out Sudbury’s best eats, must-see attractions, hidden gems, and little known landmarks!
Morning Warm-up: Rise and shine with a few morning exercises.

The Select Board consists of five members – each elected for a three-year term. They serve without compensation. The Select Board acts as the primary policy-making body of the Town. They provide oversight for matters in litigation, act as the licensing authority for a wide variety of licenses, and enact rules and regulations for such matters as traffic control. Further, the Board serves, along with the Town Treasurer, as Trustees of Town Trusts. Staff in the Select Board’s Office accept articles for Town Meeting, prepare Town Meeting Warrants and produce the Town’s Annual Report. Staff also serve as liaison between the public and the Board, handle all phone calls, visitors and correspondence directed to the Office and maintain all records of Select Board meetings. They also maintain the database of all Boards and Committees appointments and resignations.
