Message from Sudbury Water District:

Be advised: An emergency water pipe repair is underway on Hopestill Brown Road. Water service on Hopestill Brown Road (located directly off of Woodside Road) will be temporarily interrupted allowing for repair. Water service is anticipated to be restored today by 7 pm (approx.)

Upon restoring service, those in close proximity to this quadrant of town may experience fluctuating pressure (air in pipes) or discolored water (mineral sediment lifting from the bottom of the pipes and traveling with the water-flow inside the main.) Once water is restored running a cold tap briefly will assist in clearing your service line of air and minerals. Conditions are expected to improve overnight.

The Select Board consists of five members – each elected for a three-year term. They serve without compensation. The Select Board acts as the primary policy-making body of the Town. They provide oversight for matters in litigation, act as the licensing authority for a wide variety of licenses, and enact rules and regulations for such matters as traffic control. Further, the Board serves, along with the Town Treasurer, as Trustees of Town Trusts. Staff in the Select Board’s Office accept articles for Town Meeting, prepare Town Meeting Warrants and produce the Town’s Annual Report. Staff also serve as liaison between the public and the Board, handle all phone calls, visitors and correspondence directed to the Office and maintain all records of Select Board meetings. They also maintain the database of all Boards and Committees appointments and resignations.
