Proclamation: Yoshitaka Ando Day

PROCLAMATION

 

WHEREAS: Yoshitaka Ando immigrated from Japan to the United States by himself at the age of 15; and

WHEREAS: Yoshitaka Ando graduated from Franklin High School and Bridgewater State College where he was a collegiate football player; and

WHEREAS: Yoshitaka Ando was hired by Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in 1987 as an Athletic Trainer; and

WHEREAS: For the last 33 years, Yoshitaka Ando has established a venerable standard of care, compassion and leadership for tens of thousands of Lincoln-Sudbury student athletes; and

WHEREAS: Yoshitaka Ando embodied a rare spirit of selflessness and dedication as a role model to our community; and

WHEREAS: Thousands of student-athletes and their families are thankful to Yoshitaka Ando for the positive impact he has had on their lives.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

The Board of Selectmen hereby proclaim Saturday, December 14, 2019 as “Yoshitaka Ando Day” in the Town of Sudbury.
