The Reverend Christine Elliott of the Sudbury Methodist Church asked the Town of Sudbury to post the following:

A service of prayer and music will be held this Sunday, September 16, at 4 p.m. in the auditorium of the Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School on Lincoln Road in Sudbury. Sponsored by the Sudbury Clergy Association and led by representatives of all the houses of worship in Sudbury, this service will be an expression of sympathy for the victims and their families and of support for our nation.

We will hold in our prayers all those who died in the terrorist attack last Tuesday and their families and loved ones who are grieving. We will hold in our hearts our nation as together we stand strong against terrorism. We will pray for God’s guidance in the days ahead as we seek ways to build new bridges of understanding and find new ways to work together to defeat global terrorism, which this week has ended so many innocent lives.

The public is invited to participate in this service.
