Town Manager Press Release

For immediate release:

This week the town of Sudbury honored Chris Felt, a DPW Foreman, as Employee of the Year.

Felt, who has been with the Town since 1986, was nominated by Facility Director Jim Kelly. Kelly described Felt as a valuable member of the DPW team and noted his positive demeanor and willingness to pitch in.

Felt has served in several positions in DPW, and has been a foreman in the Parks and Grounds Department since 2013 where he is responsible for the fields, equipment, and facilities.

“In my very, very short tenure here all I can say is that Chris is a true gentleman who seems to be well-respected by not only his staff, but his peers as well,” said Dan Nason, Director of DPW. “He is always available when called upon and can be trusted with the task assigned.”

Felt was joined by his wife, daughter and parents when given the designation this week. Employees are nominated for the award by other Town employees and the final award is selected by the Town Manager from the nominations.

“I was proud to honor Chris with the Employee of the Year award,” said Melissa Rodrigues, Town Manager. “Chris is the type of employee who deserves to be recognized. His dedication and commitment to the town sets a standard for all of our employees.”
