It is easy to point to developers as despoilers of the environment as they bulldoze forested lots, pave over farmland, and clear wetland buffer zones. Yet with so much of our region is already developed that we fail to stop and look and we as individuals are doing on our own properties to degrade further the landscape around us. The Organization for the Assabet River offers some very useful information about lawns, lawn care, and environmental impact on its website assabetriver.org
