After over 6 years of study and public input, the final version of Sudbury’s Master Plan, entitled Sustainable Sudbury, has been released by the Planning Board. Compiled largely from reports of the Strategic Planning Committee and the identified goals of most major town boards, the Master Plan presents a broad picture for Sudbury’s future.

Its six specific chapters present data and recommendations on land use, economic development, natural and cultural resources, housing, transportation and community services and facilities. Strategies to accomplish the goals of the Master Plan include policy development and affirmation, zoning changes, funding or further study. Many boards and committees will be involved in its implementation.

Reference copies of the Plan are available for review at the Planning Board office and the Goodnow Library. Interested residents can download the Plan from this site, or can obtain a hard copy of the Plan for a nominal charge of $10 directly from the Planning Board office, 278 Old Sudbury Road. To have a copy mailed to you, either call the office at (978)443-8891, ext. 387, or email your request to the Planning Board by [email protected].
