The Board of Selectmen will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 8:15 pm at Town Hall to gather public input on the future use of 2 town-owned parcels of land. The properties under discussion are:
- 38 acres of the Mahoney property located off Old Framingham Road
- 46 acres of the Melone (gravel pit) property on North Road
These properties are currently being studied for their feasibility for development into housing and/or recreational uses. Funding for the studies was awarded by Town Meeting in 2006 using Community Preservation Act funds.
The Selectmen and their consultant, the engineering firm of Goldsmith, Prest and Ringwall of Ayer, MA, will describe the findings to date on the properties, and solicit input on potential uses. All interested residents are invited to attend. Written comments received prior to the Nov. 13th meeting will also be considered.
A future public forum will be held once the engineering analysis has been completed and conceptual development scenarios have been created.
