Town Center Project Awarded

The review of formal bids for the Town Center intersection has been completed. The bid opening was conducted on August 29, 2014, 10:00 am at the DPW facility. Two bids were received. The bid was awarded to the lowest responsive MassDOT pre-qualified bidder. E.T. & L. Corporation was awarded the project by submitting a bid of $2,138,838, including alternates 1 and 2. The second bid, submitted by E.H. Perkins, was for $2,340,107 including alternates 1 and 2. The next step in this project is to finalize a construction schedule and prepare a construction traffic management plan . Construction is expected to begin within the next 2-3 weeks, and be completed by May 15, 2015.
