Request for Consulting Services – Wastewater Planning

The Town of Sudbury is soliciting resumes of qualified consultants to assist the Town with wastewater management planning services in conjunction with the design, permitting and construction of a sewer system along a section of the Boston Post Road. The successful candidate will work closely with the Planning and Community Development Director in assisting various town boards and committees with issues related to wastewater management planning. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in planning, public administration or related field, plus two years related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with municipal planning experience preferred. Other skills required are a working knowledge of fundamental concepts and familiarity with the practical and regulatory application of wastewater management, planning and land use principles; ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific data, demographics, technical reports, blueprints and design plans, and legal documents;  ability to perform research, collect and analyze information and prepare written and oral reports and presentations for  municipal boards, committees and the public; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and effective public speaking skills. 

The consultant will be paid on an hourly basis for approximately 8 hours per week for approximately 26 weeks at a rate of no more than $40.00 per hour. There may be an ability to extend the contract subject to funding.
