The Planning Board will hold a public forum on walkway construction priorities for the $100,000 of Community Preservation Act funds recently approved at the 2011 Annual Town Meeting.  All neighborhoods desiring walkways are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the  Walkway Planning and Prioritization Initiative Guidelines. Neighborhood support for these projects is critical to the process. Each petition submitted for review is required to have the support of at least 75% of the affected property owners, and a neighborhood coordinator must to be identified. Working together for a common goal has made the process easier and more acceptable.

Requests will be accepted on a rolling basis, and reviewed until the funds have been fully expended.

Recommendations will be presented by the Traffic Safety Committee to the Planning Board for a public discussion on August 3, 2011 7:30 pm at Town Hall.  All interested residents are invited to attend this meeting.
