Springtime brings little baby turtles and salamanders! They cross the street to get to an area of water. Too often drivers do not see them until it is too late.

If you see them crossing, unless it is safe to do so, do not leave your car. Should it be safe and you are able, direct the turtles to the area they were headed. Snapping turtles need to be handled with extreme caution. A long handled shovel is useful in helping them cross.

Turtles were sited most recently on Raymond Road. Please be on the lookout for them on the roads and drive carefully. Thank you.
