Former Sudbury Conservation Commissioner awarded the Governor Francis W. Sargent Award
The state Fisheries and Wildlife Board will be presenting the Governor Francis W. Sargent Award to Dr. Stephen Meyer of Sudbury on May 12 at 1:30PM at the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife Field Headquarters in Westborough.
Steve, a member of the political science faculty at MIT, is being honored for his research on the interactions of people, plants, animals, politics, and economics, his eight years on the Division’s Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Advisory Committee, 13 years of field work on amphibians and reptiles, and nine years on the Sudbury Conservation Commission.
