The Conservation Department is in the process of verifying and closing outstanding Orders of Condition, many dating back to the 1990’s. Most of these Orders are simply missing a book and page number from the Registry of Deeds. If you received or receive a letter of Notice of Responsibility, please check your records for the Order. The Sudbury Board of Health is in contact with the state Department of Public Health concerning the algae blooms at Willis Pond. The state will confirm early next week whether the bloom is considered harmful to humans and pets. People and pets should avoid contact with the water until further information is received and the type of algae is confirmed by the state. The Conservation Commission received word from the Park & Recreation within the last hour that Park & Recreation plans to WITHDRAW their wetland permit requests at the Conservation Commission meeting tonight. A withdrawal will mean that there will be no discussion of the project. More →
