The Town of Sudbury is accepting applications for the position of Senior Planner. Under the supervision of the Director of Planning and Community Development, the Senior Planner is the Department’s point person for stormwater management permitting, Stormwater Management Permit compliance, environmental initiatives, and special projects including research, data collection, application review, and permitting for proposed land uses. The position also coordinates the administrative elements of the Earth Removal Board and Land Acquisition Review Committee. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing permitting decisions; conducting site visits to verify compliance with permit conditions; managing and assisting in long range planning, environmental initiatives, and special projects of the Department; communicating with consultants under contract with the Town; and researching zoning bylaws, subdivision rules and regulations, and other relevant bylaws, rules, regulations, and procedures in place in other municipalities and at the state level in preparation for updating Town procedures and bylaws.

Salary range is $69,804 to $91,810 plus excellent benefits. Starting salary is based upon qualifications and typically in the first half of the salary range.
