Open Enrollment

Annual Open Enrollment for Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) runs from April 1, 2026 – May 1, 2026. 

Note: The information on this page is for active employees.  If you are a retiree currently enrolled in insurance through the Town, you will be receiving open enrollment information by mail in early April.  If you did not receive the information or if you are enrolling for the first time, contact Human Resources at hr@sudbury.ma.us. or 978-639-3348.

If you’re already enrolled, make your changes directly on the MyGIC Link Member Benefits Portal.

If enrolling for the first time, email HR at hr@sudbury.ma.us.

Please note that if you are enrolling dependents, marriage and/or birth certificates must be provided.  Read more details on required documentation for GIC coverage.

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance is offered through Altus Dental.  Rates will stay the same in FY27:  

  • Family plan: $31.86/month
  • Individual plan: $12.64/month

Complete this Dental Insurance Enrollment Form and return it HR by 4/28/26.

No dental insurance changes this year?

You don’t need to do anything.

 

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

FSA plans allow you set aside money on a pre-tax basis to put towards eligible medical or dependent care expenses. You may enroll in either plan or both, but note that there is an administrative fee of $60/year if enrolling in the dependent care plan only.  The plan year runs from July 1 through June 30. Important: Re-enrollment is required every year.  Read the FSA flyer for more details.

Health Care: Maximum Annual Health Care Election: $3,400
Eligible expenses include: non-cosmetic medical, dental, and vision care services; prescription and OTC expenses, orthodontics, mental health services; alternative health therapies and more!

Dependent Care: Maximum Annual Dependent Care Election: $7,000 per family
Eligible expenses include daycare, pre-school, before/after school care, day camp for children under 13 and elder daycare.

Re-enroll through your FSA online account portal (not the mobile app) by 5/1/26.

Want to enroll in an FSA plan?
