PUBLIC HEARING
SUDBURY PLANNING BOARD
SCENIC ROAD BYLAW
In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 40, Section 15C, Chapter 87, Section 3, and the Sudbury Bylaws Article VIII(B), Scenic Roads, the Sudbury Planning Board, in conjunction with the Tree Warden, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 7:30 P.M. at Town Hall, 322 Concord Road, Sudbury, Massachusetts, concerning the removal of certain trees and stone walls on Dudley Road, a designated Scenic Road in Sudbury, for the construction of a walkway along that road. An application has been submitted by the Town of Sudbury DPW Department, and each tree shall bear a notice of public hearing. Trees and stone walls under consideration of this public hearing are located as follows:
1- 32” pine; 1-15” pine and 1-7” pine at 25 Dudley Road
1-12” oak at 71 Dudley Road
1- 14” oak at 89 Dudley Road
Removal of approximately 10 linear feet of stone wall at 5 Dudley Road
Additionally, while not under the jurisdiction of the Scenic Road Bylaw and state law, approximately 86 trees on private property are anticipated to be removed for the purpose of constructing the walkway along a ½ mile section of Dudley Road. Trees on private property will be removed with the permission of the landowners.
The application is on file in the Planning Office, and may be inspected during regular office hours, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
All those wishing to be heard on these matters should appear at the time and place designated above, or send written comments prior to the hearing to the Sudbury Planning Board, 278 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury, MA 01776.
