THIRTEEN Positions Available for Annual Town Election on March 26, 2012
Town Clerk, Rosemary Harvell, has announced there are thirteen official positions open for election at the March 26, 2012 Annual Town Election. Nomination Packets are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office.
Candidates for Town offices must file their intentions with the Town Clerk on or before Friday, February 3, 2012 and return their nomination papers on or before Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
Candidates for L-S Regional District School Committee must obtain their papers at the high school from Donna Cakert, the District Clerk at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School, on or before Friday, February 3, 2012 and return their nomination papers to the District Clerk on or before Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
Note: The deadline for a candidate to withdraw from the election is Thursday, February 23, 2012.

Moderator ONE β 3 Year Term
Board of Selectmen ONE β 3 Year Term
Board of Assessors ONE β 3 Year Term
Goodnow Library Trustee TWO β 3 Year Term
Board of Health ONE β 3 Year Term
Planning Board TWO β 3 Year Term
Sudbury Housing Authority ONE β 5 Year Term
Sudbury School Committee TWO β 3 Year Term
L-S Regional District School Committee TWO β 3 Year Term
Incumbents, whose terms are expiring, as well as new candidates interested in running for an office, may obtain the necessary forms and nomination papers at the Town Clerk’s office. L-S Regional District School Committee candidates must obtain their papers at the high school from the District Clerk.
Tuesday, March 6th at 8:00 p.m. is the deadline for registering to vote at the Annual Town Election and the Annual Town Meeting. Voter registration is available each weekday at the Town Clerk’s office in the Town Hall, 322 Concord Road, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., as well as at the Special Registration Session on Tuesday, March 6th, when the office will be open from 9:00a.m – 8:00 p.m. Also, a Mail-In Voter Registration form is available at the Goodnow Library, the Post Office in the Shaw’s Plaza, and the Town Clerk’s office.
In Massachusetts, residents need to register only once unless they move. If a voter moves within the Commonwealth, the voter is required to re-register in the new community. When a voter moves within Town, notification of the change of residence must be filed with the Town Clerkβs office.
