Nine people attended the initial 2011 Lincoln Sudbury “GUIDED WALKS OF SUDBURY CONSERVATION AREAS  by SUDBURY CONSERVATION COMMISSION” series.  Participants came from as far as Michigan to enjoy one of Sudbury’s jewels.  The first of the series of 5 walks was held at the Hop Brook Conservation land off Dutton Road.  The walk was lead by John Sklenak, commission chairman.

Nature cooperated with an ideal spring day and abundant wildlife. Walkers were treated to an assortment of wildlife, including a Great Blue Heron, Canadian Geese, Mallard Ducks, dozens of sun bathing turtles, water snakes, a Red Tailed Hawk, and a white swan….and a few black flies!
