The MA Drought Management Task Force has declared a Level 2 – Significant Drought for the Northeast Region until further notice.

As such, the provisions of 10.58(2)(a)1.d – regarding documented field observations that the stream is not flowing, as evidence that the stream is intermittent – are suspended as of the effective date of the drought map (May 1, 2022), until the drought is lifted.  This means that no evidence collected showing a stream dry on or after May 1, 2022 may be submitted to overcome the perennial stream status in 10.58(2)(a)a – c.

Please take efforts to minimize unnecessary water usage so our wetlands do not dry up. We thank you for you stewardship of Sudbury’s natural resources.
