Vote By Mail

Voting by Mail is available for the 2026 State Election. The last day to request a vote by mail ballot is Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 5 pm.  If you have requested “All Elections,” then you do not need to send a new application. Visit Vote By Mail Applications to learn more.

Returning Your Ballot

To return your mail-in ballot, you can mail it, put it in the drop box located at the back entrance of the Town Clerk’s Office, or bring it into the Town Clerk’s Office.

 

2026 State Election Ballot Return DEADLINES

  • If returned in person or by drop box: 8 p.m., November 3, 2026
  • If returned by mail within the US (postmarked November 3): 5 p.m., November 6, 2026. 
  • If returned from outside the US (postmarked November 3): 5 p.m., November 13, 2026.

Notice of Advance Removal and Depositing of Early/Absentee Voting Ballots

In accordance with the VOTES ACT, Chapter 92 of the Acts of 2022,  the Town of Sudbury will be opening and depositing Early Voted and Absentee Ballots on the days and times: TBA

ACCESSIBLE VOTE BY MAIL

Accessible vote by mail ballots are available for certain voters. If you are blind or have a vision impairment, have a mobility or dexterity disability, or have another disability that makes it difficult for you to mark a paper ballot, you can request an accessible vote by mail ballot.

EARLY VOTING

In-Person Early Voting is available to all registered voters who prefer to cast their ballot prior to election day. Early Voting takes place at Town Hall and ends on Friday, October 30 at 12PM. Please see below for dates and times.

The last day to register to vote for this election was Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 5PM. Register to vote on-line or in-person learn more at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/.
